Botox

Botox injection is a procedure which can dramatically soften the appearance and inhibit the formation of wrinkles in the skin.  Botox is FDA approved for cosmetic purposes.  Muscles of expression are relaxed by the injection of small amounts of Botox into these specific muscles.  The action of the muscles is inhibited and the muscle can no longer contract.  The action of frowning is stopped and the frown lines diminish.  One can then have a more youthful, relaxed and unworried appearance.  The most common locations of injections are the frown lines between the eyes, crow's feet on the outer corners of the eyes, and the forehead.   The procedure is safe and simple enough to be performed in a few minutes.  Results are seen in 4-7 days.  Botox may also be injected for hyperhidrosis or sweating.

Filler Agents

Fillers such as Juvederm and Radiesse plump up wrinkles and furrows, & fill in sagging skin caused by age & sun.  Sagging corners of the mouth, wrinkle/furrow lines from the nose to the mouth (nasiolabial folds), acne scars and hollow cheeks are restored. Lip border outlines lost through age & sunlight exposure can be redefined and volume can be added to improve the appearance of thin lips. Results are immediate and dramatic. The duration of effect depends on the fillers, but on average both can last up to a year.

Microdermabrasion*

Microdermabrasion using the DiamondTome™ system gently removes the topmost layer of skin producing an instant "glow."  This treatment is good for sun damaged skin, age spots, reduction of minor to moderate early aging, reduction of acne scarring, extraction of blackheads and whiteheads, oily skin, and rejuvenation of skin health. You will experience softer, smoother and cleaner skin after the first treatment.  With a series of treatments, you can expect healthier, more radiant skin. Skin Medica products are used when having a microdermabrasion treatment.  You will receive a cleanse, microdermabrasion treatment, extractions, mask, toner, moisturizer, eye cream, and an SPF. 

Chemical Peels*

Chemical Peels produce younger looking skin by stripping away old, sun damaged and acneic skin with no down time. A chemical solution is applied to the skin, which causes dead skin cells to separate & peel off.  Chemical peels are indicated for skin conditions, such as sun damage, fine lines and wrinkles, acne, acne scarring, and melasma. Our peels are suitable for all skin types and produce predictable and noticeable results.  While you will see a difference in your skin after just one, a series of three or more is recommended for optimal results.

Laser Treatment for Facial Rejuvenation

Laser Peels with the Venus remove the upper layer of the skin.  As the skin is regenerated, discoloration, fine wrinkles, superficial scars, frown lines and other marks will be diminished or in many cases eliminated.  Your medical practitioner can tailor the depth of the peel & recovery time to your individual needs.  A series of three or more treatments is recommended for optimal results.

Laser Treatment for Rosacea and Telangiectasia

Laser Treatment for Rosacea and Redness or Broken Blood Vessels using the Aura, a 532nm wavelength of laser light, can eliminate unsightly small blood vessels on the face, neck, & chest.  In combination with a clinical Rosacea treatment by your Dermatologist, laser treatments can improve the appearance of your skin. We also offer several medical-grade products to help minimize the appearance of Rosacea and redness.

Laser Treatment for Razor Bumps

Laser light energy passes through the skin and is absorbed in the hair follicle residing underneath the skin's surface.  The laser energy destroys the follicle with the local heat that it generates.  Destroyed hairs are then either dissolved within the skin or ejected by the body.  Treatment is FDA approved to treat shaving bumps on dark complected and tanned skin.  Our lasers are safe for ethnic skin.  Low absorption in pigment makes it an ideal and safe treatment while maintaining the normal appearance of the skin.  Since laser treatment impairs the growth of hair follicles when they are in the growth cycle, and all follicles are not active at the same time, multiple treatments (spaced 3-4 weeks apart) may be required to obtain the overall effect.

Laser Treatment for Spider Veins

Laser vein treatment is a safe and effective way to treat unsightly leg veins.  Laser light is delivered through the skin and into the vein.  After heating, the vein walls collapse and seal shut.  The sealed vein is then broken down and absorbed by the body.  Treatments work best on smaller veins and are effective for most individuals, including those with darker or tanned skin.  Leg vein session time depends on the size of the treatment area.  While some patients may be satisfied after just one treatment, two or more treatments may be needed to achieve individual desired results.

Laser Hair Removal

Laser Hair Reduction using the Lyra is a safe and effective way to eliminate unwanted body and facial hair.  Laser hair reduction can be accomplished on all skin types, but is most effective on dark hair.  It is safe for all skin types. Laser treatments impair the growth capacity of the hair follicles during an active growth phase. Not all follicles are active at the same time, thus several treatments every 4-6 weeks are necessary to obtain the desired result. The number of visits needed varies; however, most patients require 6-10 treatments. Topical numbing cream is applied prior to the procedure to ensure comfort.

Laser Treatment for Freckles, Age Spots, or "Liver Spots"

Laser Treatment for Freckles, Age Spots or "Liver Spots" uses the Aura laser.  Our laser is designed to treat superficial skin blemishes on the face, chest, back, shoulders, and hands. Brown spots are premature aging of the skin due to sun exposure.  Although most brown spots are easily ignored, many are quite conspicuous and can detract from your skin's natural beauty.  This popular procedure is quick and non-invasive. Results are unique to each individual, depending on your skin tone and the extent of the pigmented areas.  More than one treatment might be necessary for optimal results.
