Dr. Hepper grew up in Columbus, Ohio. She attended the University of Virginia for her undergraduate degree and graduated Phi Beta Kappa. She then completed medical school at Vanderbilt University as a Canby Robinson Scholar and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.
